At the beginning of last century, a sweet-flavored Cantonese sausage went viral in Gongming County and has become a local specialty named after its origins.
Pork fillings with a fat-meat ratio of 3:7 are marinated in ingredients and wrapped in casings to make the sausages in even length. The semi-finished products are then seasoned on bamboo shelves for some three days before being ready to eat.
