Guangming District has secured a strong presence in the latest 2025 Top 500 Dynamic Subdistricts in China ranking, released on August 18 by CCID Research Institute (Sichuan) Co. Ltd.

In the national Top 500 list, five Guangming subdistricts made the cut, Bao'an Daily reported.

Gongming Subdistrict ranked 65th, placing it among China's Top 100 dynamic subdistricts. Meanwhile, Matian (160th), Yutang (207th), Xinhu (345th), and Guangming (395th) also earned spots on the list.

Across Guangdong Province, 135 subdistricts made the list, representing over one-quarter of the national total, with 55 subdistricts entering the Top 100.

Shenzhen performed particularly strongly, with 58 subdistricts in the Top 500 and 39 in the Top 100, representing 70% of Guangdong's Top 100 entries. Notably, six Shenzhen subdistricts ranked in the national Top 10, led by Yuehai (Nanshan District), Xixiang (Bao'an District), and Longhua (Longhua District), which took the top three positions.

Beyond Shenzhen, Guangdong's other 77 subdistricts included in the Top 500 are distributed across seven cities: Guangzhou (48), Foshan (10), Huizhou (10), Dongguan (3), Jiangmen (3), Maoming (2), and Zhuhai (1).

According to the organizers, the rankings are based on second-quarter 2025 statistical data from the Ministry of Civil Affairs, evaluating over 8,000 subdistricts nationwide (excluding municipalities directly under the Central Government, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). The study adhered to principles of scientific rigor, transparency, objectivity, and comprehensiveness, relying heavily on big data analysis in producing the 2025 Dynamic Subdistricts Top 500 list, as well as special rankings for central and western China.
