The Supercomputing Guangming AI Computing Center has opened in Guangming, adding new computing capacity to support the development of the district’s digital industries and the integration of artificial intelligence with manufacturing across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Lin Shuai, vice president of Supercomputing Group and head of its Greater Bay Area operations, said the center will focus on computing services, industrial applications, research and innovation, and the efficient use of existing resources. The company plans to connect the center with computing nodes in surrounding areas and build an integrated platform linking power, computing, data and AI models.
Supercomputing Group also plans to establish a regional headquarters in Shenzhen. The company said it will use the Guangming center as a platform to attract computing-related businesses, technology professionals and investment, while strengthening cooperation among government, industry, universities and research institutions.
