Weian Commercial Street in Guangming has reopened following an upgrade, entering a new phase aimed at combining riverside ecology with urban leisure and consumption.

Located along the Maozhou River, the commercial street has been transformed from a traditional open-air retail area into a leisure-oriented riverside destination. The revamped area features three themed spaces designed for dining, socializing and recreation.

The new venue will feature specialty food, coffee and drinks, esports and trendy entertainment, sports and leisure, and family activities. Restaurants featuring Guizhou-style grilled food and Chongqing stone-pot fish have already opened, with additional offerings planned.

The reopening also marked the launch of a life art festival, which will run through Oct. 31. The festival features activities centered on art, music and riverside leisure, including sunset live performances.

The street will continue to integrate its riverside ecological setting with commercial and cultural activities, with organizers aiming to develop it into a signature leisure and social destination in Guangming.
