Twenty-nine companies in Guangming have been named to the city’s 2026 green factory list, nearly tripling the district’s total from eight in 2025, according to official data.
The district had 29 of its 35 applications approved, an 82.8% success rate, up from 29.6% last year. Across Shenzhen, 176 companies made the list.
The selected companies span industries including ultra-high-definition displays, new materials, smart sensors and biomedicine. They are distributed across major industrial areas, including Fenghuang, Yutang, Matian and Gongming, reflecting the wider adoption of green manufacturing across the district.
The improvement followed expanded support for applicants. Guangming organized five training sessions attended by more than 300 participants and provided tailored, on-site guidance to all 35 applicant companies. It also helped connect businesses with energy-saving upgrade and clean energy adoption projects.
The district aims to integrate green manufacturing into the development of Guangming Science City while supporting the sustainable growth of its industrial base.
