Main Responsibilities:
1. Implement and enforce relevant national, provincial, and municipal laws, regulations, statistical systems, and standards; oversee compliance and investigate violations of statistical laws.
2. Coordinate and oversee all statistical activities within the district, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, authenticity, and timeliness; manage statistical survey projects according to law; establish systems for data preservation and management; support statistical work at subdistrict and departmental levels; strengthen grassroots statistical capacity.
3. Organize and conduct major national censuses and surveys on population, economy, agriculture, and other key areas as mandated.
4. Carry out statistical surveys in sectors such as agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fisheries, industry, construction, wholesale and retail trade, hospitality, real estate, and services.
5. Perform statistical data collection and analysis on energy, investment, science and technology, population, labor and wages, culture, human resources, finance, and related fields.
6. Compile and provide fundamental statistical data across the district, including tourism, transport, postal services, education, health, social security, public utilities, foreign trade, fiscal budgets, and environment.
7. Collect, consolidate, and analyze district-wide statistics on the economy, social sciences, technology, and natural resources; regularly release reports on economic and social development; provide statistical advice and data to local government and publicly as required.
8. Lead the development of professional statistical teams; deliver statistical education and training.
9. Establish and manage statistical information and database systems for the district.
10. Carry out other tasks assigned by higher authorities.
11. Drive the transformation of the bureau's functions by: 1) Optimizing survey programs and methodologies to enhance scientific rigor, standardization, and practicality while minimizing the burden on participants. 2) Advancing the application of information technologies such as internet, big data, and cloud computing; establishing data sharing mechanisms via smart statistical systems to create a unified statistical framework.
