Main Responsibilities

The Guangming District Veterans Affairs Bureau is a newly established agency that consolidates responsibilities previously handled by various departments. These include veterans' preferential treatment and resettlement, support for the families of servicemen and veterans, and the recognition and commendation of martyrs (formerly managed by the District Civil Affairs Bureau); the placement of demobilized military cadres and guidance for self-employed retired military personnel (previously under the responsibilities of the District Party Committee Organization Department); as well as other related military affairs.
