Main Responsibilities

1. Implement laws, policies, and regulations from higher authorities relating to culture, cultural heritage, radio and television, tourism, and sports. Formulate related development plans and oversee their implementation.

2. Manage and promote the development of the cultural, heritage, radio and television, tourism, and sports industries. Build and maintain public cultural and sports service systems and facilities under the district's jurisdiction. Provide guidance for cultural and sports work in subdistricts.

3. Regulate the cultural, media, tourism, and sports markets; and guide and coordinate the work of relevant industry associations.

4. Manage and protect cultural relics and intangible cultural heritage. Provide guidance on  relic protection and management in subdistricts.

5. Support cultural and artistic creation and production; organize major cultural and sports events; plan and oversee mass cultural and fitness activities, sports competitions, and amateur sports training. Promote the National Fitness Program.

6. Lead international exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, media, tourism, and sports.

7. Enforce laws governing the culture, media, film, news, publishing, tourism, and sports markets; impose administrative penalties for violations involving cultural relics.

8. Plan and support talent development for culture, media, tourism, and sports sectors.

9. Draft plans for district-wide cultural and sports infrastructure; guide, coordinate and participate in the preliminary work of government-funded cultural and sports projects; provide guidance for the operation and management of major facilities at the district and subdistrict levels; and compile facility statistics.

10. Responsible for planning and developing the accommodation industry; monitoring and analyzing its operations; and promoting investment in the industry.

11. Complete other assignments from the district Party committee, district government, and higher authorities.
