An opening ceremony for the National Junior Tennis Ranking Tournament and China Junior Tennis Tour (U12 CTJ-A2000) was held at the Guangming District Mass Sports Center on Sept. 16, as reported by the Shenzhen Guangming WeChat account.
This tournament, overseen by the National Sports Administration's Tennis Management Center and the China Tennis Association, is being hosted by the Guangming District Cultural, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports Bureau.
The event is the pinnacle of youth tennis competitions in the country. The U12 category boasts eight stops culminating in a final face-off. The fifth and sixth stops will be held in Guangming, spanning seven days each, for a combined 14 days of intense competition. Following the latest regulations of the Chinese Tennis Association, the singles competition is split into preliminary and main matches, with the preliminaries comprising three rounds.
The preliminary battles commenced on Sept. 14 at the Guangming District Mass Sports Center, setting the stage for a fiercely contested tournament.
