Guangming District hosted an international exchange event on Feb. 18, welcoming expat residents, foreign service providers, and government representatives.
The occasion served as a platform for sharing insights and fostering collaboration toward advancing Guangming District as a flourishing global community.

Officials from the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangming District outlined the district's ongoing initiatives in internationalization and engaged with foreign nationals to gather perspectives on enhancing Guangming's global appeal.
Director Ma Lin from the International Medical Center of the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University highlighted the event by showcasing the center's distinction as the sole provider of premium international medical services in Guangming. Ma also detailed the center's array of offerings and procedures catering to international residents and visitors.
Dr. Mark DiFabio, the Founding Head of School of BASIS Bilingual School Guangming, shared his school's commitment to nurturing students for global studies and cultural exchange, emphasizing the importance of cross-cultural education in building a brighter future.
Chairman Wang Huiguo of the Hanlin International Kindergarten introduced the school's unique educational approach centered around nature immersion and sports, including equestrianism, swimming, rugby, and more, promoting holistic development in a multicultural environment.

Quinn Dobbins, a teacher at Hanlin Kindergarten from the United States, expressed enthusiasm for Guangming's vibrant opportunities and emphasized the district's family-friendly ambiance and its emphasis on public infrastructure.
"The district can build more landmarks like Hongqiao Park because it was in my imagination before I came here and it drove me to come here. I think Guangming can promote more international events in the future," he said.
"Guangming is family-oriented. It's much more relaxed compared with other parts of Shenzhen. Recently, we see more and more people coming to Guangming from overseas," he added.
