The renowned cross-border passenger transport brand, Trans-Island Chinalink, recently launched a new round-trip bus service connecting the Guangming Grand Mercure Hotel (Guangming City Terminal) with Hong Kong.

This initiative aims to enhance transportation links between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, responding to the increasing travel demands of businesspeople, tourists, and families.

Guangming District, a key transportation hub in northern Shenzhen, previously lacked direct cross-border bus services to Hong Kong. The introduction of the Guangming Grand Mercure Hotel as a stop addresses this gap and aligns with the "Outline Development Plan for the GBA," which advocates for the establishment of an efficient and interconnected transportation network.

This new route marks the third cross-border service launched by Chinalink in 2025, with an anticipated daily passenger volume exceeding 200, greatly benefiting local businesses and residents.

The new bus route departs from the hotel situated in Guangming's central business district, passing through the Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint before reaching several popular locations in Hong Kong, such as Mong Kok, Prince Edward, and Tsim Sha Tsui. The journey is expected to take about 90 minutes, although travel times may vary due to customs clearance.

The service operates three round trips daily, departing from Guangming at 7:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.

Chinalink indicated that the frequency of the service may be increased in response to passenger demand, and plans are underway to explore direct routes to Hong Kong Airport, further promoting the international development of the Greater Bay Area.

In a gesture to attract passengers, the company is offering a special promotion during the service's first month, with one-way tickets priced at just 9.9 yuan and round-trip tickets available for 19.8 yuan.
