A delegation of representatives from nearly 10 Japanese companies, including Toshiba (China) Co., Ltd., visited Guangming District recently on a targeted investment tour.

The delegation explored the Guangming Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and two local industry leaders—BTR New Materials Group and Nuoan Intelligent—to discuss potential collaborations.

The event aimed to strengthen economic ties between Japanese enterprises and Guangming, with a focus on advancing partnerships in technology and advanced manufacturing.

Representing sectors ranging from semiconductors to corporate consulting, the delegation underscored Japan's growing interest in Guangming's innovation-focused economy.

During their visit to the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, delegates learned about the district's dual-pillar "science + industry" development strategy, with particular emphasis on Guangming Science City, a project positioning the area as a global research and innovation hub.

Afterward, the group visited BTR New Material Group. Founded in 2000, the company has been a leading player in the global lithium-ion battery anode materials market for 15 consecutive years, supplying major electric vehicle manufacturers worldwide.

They also visited Nuoan, a NEEQ-listed (China’s New Third Board) firm specializing in gas sensors and detection equipment. It holds multiple national recognizations, including "National High-Tech Enterprise" and "Little Giant."

In recent years, over 20 Global Fortune 500 companies—including Germany’s Siemens, U.S.-based Celanese, and France’s Veolia—along with 16 Japanese firms such as optical systems leader MacNair, have chosen to invest in Guangming.
