Guangming District is set to host the 3rd Intangible Cultural Heritage Art Week from July 4 to 13 at the scenic Honghuashan Park, showcasing a unique blend of ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology.

This year's festival offers an immersive four-dimensional experience that integrates technology, heritage, ecology, and local culture.

Building on the success of previous editions, the 2025 Art Week revolves around three core themes: innovative revitalization, collaborative preservation, and shared empowerment. Visitors can explore:

Three Interactive Zones: The Food Market, Craftsmanship Workshops, and Heritage Experience Area.

Two Immersive Experiences: An augmented reality (AR) treasure hunt and AI-powered intangible cultural heritage interactions.

Guangming Culture-Commerce-Tourism Exhibition Corridor: Showcasing the district's thriving creative economy.

The festival will kick off with a Tea Banquet, offering a journey through classic tea traditions. Live performances will feature captivating Sichuan face-changing, Yulyu lion dance, traditional music, and evocative dances.

Culinary heritage at the food market:

Over 30 stalls will delight visitors with local specialties like Guangming roasted pigeon, Chenguang milk, and Gongming sausages. The market also offers produce from Guangxi farms, Yunnan coffee brews, and classic treats. Guests can enjoy these flavors alongside craft ice cream, peach blossom wine, and herbal drinks—creating a savory journey through China's edible intangible heritage.

Artisan legacy in the craft zone:

Hands-on workshops invite participation in over 20 traditional crafts such as water marbling, bamboo weaving, pearl art, classical oil-paper umbrella making, botanical dyeing, and decorative hat embellishments.

Guangming's culture-commerce-tourism showcase:

A dedicated exhibition corridor highlights the district's rich intangible cultural heritage, scenic attractions, and trendy lifestyle hubs, reflecting Guangming's deep cultural roots and its energetic, youthful urban spirit.
