On July 3, the Guangming Real Estate Industry Association unveiled the Guangming Housing Rental Platform.

The platform aims to provide residents with authentic, comprehensive property listings while helping to standardize the rental market throughout the district.

Currently, 13 rental companies have joined the platform, offering over 9,000 rental units spanning all subdistricts of Guangming.

This initiative comes as Guangming Science City undergoes rapid growth, attracting increasing numbers of domestic and international professionals for work and entrepreneurship, driving up demand for suitable housing.

The platform offers a suite of convenient features including property listing and management, advanced search and filtering tools, and online viewing appointment scheduling. Both property owners and tenants can quickly list, search for, and rent homes through the platform.

In addition to the platform launch, the association highlighted its earlier “Light for Youth” Talent Residence Program. This program provides one to three months of free housing for new employees during probation periods at registered Guangming enterprises.

Since its pilot, the initiative has supported 47 companies and more than 171 young professionals — including eight PhDs, 26 master's degree holders, and 142 undergraduates. The program has fostered a strong sense of mutual commitment between businesses and talent, generating meaningful social benefits.
