The 2025 Guangming Outdoor Sports Season officially kicked off on Oct. 31 at Guangming Civic Square, igniting a wave of fitness and fun across the district. The opening event drew nearly 600 running enthusiasts, who raced through Guangming’s scenic landscapes of mountains and lakes.

The Outdoor Sports Season features more than 20 dynamic outdoor events, offering citizens a year-end celebration of sports and nature.

Highlights include the hiking challenge with six classic Guangming routes, the Dayan Mountain Forest Trail Run, and the “Guangming Cup” Cross-Strait & Hong Kong–Macao Cycling Race, which fosters youth exchanges through sport. The popular Guangming Mini Run and the Guangming Science City Rowing Challenge will also return, inviting residents to experience the district’s “town of mountains and waters” appeal.

Other major attractions include the UCI Guangming International Road Cycling Race, the XDS Mountain Bike Series, and the Spartan Kids Race, offering outdoor thrills for all ages. The season will culminate with the Shenzhen 100 km Guangming Walk, a 24-hour charity trek linking the district’s most iconic landmarks.

Running through March 2026, the event celebrates the spirit of “fitness for all,” inspiring citizens to embrace health, vitality, and the joy of movement amid Guangming’s stunning natural scenery.
