The international judging panel for the BMX Freestyle competition at the 15th National Games of China has issued a letter of appreciation, commending the event’s organization, venue facilities, and logistics support in Guangming District.
In their message, the judges highlighted the exceptional quality of the competition’s overall organization:
“From travel arrangements to accommodation and the friendliness of all staff, everything has been exceptional,” the judges wrote. “Every international judge has felt truly welcomed.”
The panel offered particular praise for the BMX Freestyle Park at Hongqiao Park, describing it as “built to a very high international standard.” The judges noted that the park’s design provides riders ideal conditions to perform high-difficulty tricks and fully showcase their athletic talent and creativity.
They also spoke highly of the event’s technical facilities. The judging tower, they said, “has been built to the best standards,” providing a clear, unobstructed view of every feature on the course and ensuring accurate and fair scoring. The use of the world’s leading scoring system further ensures the authority and precision of the competition results.
The international judging team, composed entirely of judges with experience in multiple World Championships and Olympic Games, expressed their enthusiasm for China’s growing strength in the sport:
“It is a great honor and privilege to be here in China and be part of this competition. We are very excited to see the level of progression the Chinese riders are known for. Over the past five years, they have been pushing the sport of BMX freestyle to new levels.”
Their high praise is not only an acknowledgment of the BMX Freestyle Park’s world-class construction but also a reflection of Guangming District’s excellence in event management and international collaboration. It marks another milestone for Guangming as it continues to strengthen its credentials as a premier destination for global sports events — setting the stage for future high-level competitions and driving the district’s integration of sports, culture, and tourism.
