A collection of key Chinese spaceflight artifacts has gone on display at the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum, giving the public a rare close-up look at hardware used in the country’s major space missions.

The exhibition, titled "Major Power Tools: China's Spaceflight Artifacts," features recovered components from the Long March-2F Y11 carrier rocket, as well as a satellite fairing from the Long March-3A rocket, among other exhibits.

The Long March-2F Y11 rocket launched the Shenzhou-11 crewed spacecraft in 2016, carrying astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong on a 33-day mission, China’s sixth crewed spaceflight. The displayed rocket section shows visible heat marks and structural details from its atmospheric reentry.

The satellite fairing of the Long March-3A rocket is a workhorse model used for launching high-orbit satellites. The series has supported key national missions, including the Chang’e-1 lunar probe and multiple Beidou navigation satellites. The fairing illustrates the protective technologies used to shield payloads during launch.

The exhibition will run through March 4. Since opening, it has drawn large numbers of visitors, including students and science enthusiasts.
