A new pet-friendly leisure complex is set to open in Guangming, aiming to address the growing demand among urban pet owners for dedicated outdoor recreation and social spaces.

The PetJoy Star Park (宠悦星乐园) is located near Minghu Urban Park and the Minghu Zhigu Innovation Hub. Covering about 40,000 square meters, the project combines pet recreation, leisure activities, education, and themed commercial services.

The park integrates indoor and outdoor facilities. More than 30,000 square meters of outdoor space are designed for pet exercise, themed events, owner-pet interaction, and public education. The 8,100 square meters of indoor facilities will include services such as pet healthcare, dining, boarding, and retail, forming a one-stop service center for pet owners.

Organizers said the outdoor areas are expected to open in late January, with indoor facilities to follow at a later phase. Trial experiences have already attracted pet owners from across the city.

Local officials said the project is part of efforts to develop new consumption scenarios linked to the growing pet economy, while expanding leisure options for residents and supporting the integration of culture, commerce, and tourism.
