Guangmingcheng Railway Station will roll out a new train timetable from midnight on Jan. 26, boosting overall capacity and enhancing cross-border and long-distance rail services, railway officials said.
Under the new schedule, the station will operate 63 high-speed train services at full capacity.
The updated timetable will continue to offer existing services to major destinations including Guangzhou South, Shenzhen North, Hong Kong West Kowloon, Xiamen, and Changsha South, while introducing new routes to popular tourism destinations such as Baise, Dali and Fenghuang Ancient Town, as well as key cities such as Chengdu and Nanjing. The changes are expected to provide passengers with more travel options, especially during the Spring Festival travel season and other public holidays.
Rail authorities have also set aside capacity for additional temporary trains during weekends and peak travel periods to meet surging demand. Passengers are advised to check the latest train times, platform information and any service changes through official railway channels, including the 12306 website and mobile app, before traveling.
