Authorities in Guangming District have launched a recruitment drive targeting doctoral-level professionals, offering 593 positions across 33 research institutes, universities, public institutions and leading companies.

According to the recruitment notice, openings span four major sectors. Participating research institutions include Shenzhen Bay Laboratory and the Guangdong Provincial Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy (Shenzhen). Academic positions are available at several universities including the Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology.

Public institutions include the Guangming District Science and Technology Innovation Service Center, alongside major enterprises such as TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. and Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery Co., Ltd.

Entry-level doctoral positions offer annual salaries starting at 180,000 yuan (US$25,000), while top research roles such as the “Talent Rising Star” positions at leading laboratories can offer up to 2 million yuan annually. Postdoctoral researchers may receive municipal subsidies of up to 360,000 yuan during their tenure, with some public institutions providing additional local allowances.

Most employers also offer social insurance, housing fund contributions, research startup funding, talent apartments, education support for children and fast-track professional title evaluations.
