The 15th China International New Media Short Film Festival (CSFF) and the 2026 China TV Drama Industry Conference and 11th China (Shenzhen) International TV Drama TV Drama Trading Fair, are set to take place from March 13 to 15 in Futian and Guangming districts in Shenzhen, offering a glimpse into the future of technology-driven storytelling.

The dual events aim to showcase the integration of artificial intelligence into filmmaking while fostering international collaboration ahead of the 2026 APEC summit, which will be hosted in Shenzhen for the first time.

Technological innovation emerges as a core focus, with this year’s edition highlighting what organizers call “New Quality Imaging” — the deep integration of AIGC (AI-generated content) into creative production.

The festival’s prestigious KingBonn Director Supporting Program has introduced dedicated categories for AIGC short films and technology-driven micro-dramas, encouraging creators to explore AI’s potential in storytelling.

An AIGC and Digital Technology Zone will feature cutting-edge imaging solutions from major players including Volcengine, Tencent Cloud and Alibaba Cloud. Among the showcased innovations is Seedance, an AI-powered motion capture system previously featured at China’s Spring Festival Gala, making its industry event debut.

An interactive exhibition will demonstrate AI applications across scriptwriting, post-production and virtual filming, allowing attendees to experience the fusion of technology and artistry firsthand.
