Authorities in Guangming District have held a series of training sessions to strengthen foreign affairs services and international communication capacity ahead of the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting.
Organized by the district government's general office and foreign affairs bureau, three sessions were conducted in early March, drawing more than 600 participants from government agencies, enterprises, research institutes, hospitals and commercial venues.

The first session focused on standardizing bilingual public signage and improving the international language environment. Zhang Shuyin, an assistant professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), delivered a lecture covering translation standards, common errors and inspection practices, helping participants improve their ability to review and correct public signage.
