Recently, Guangming District hosted “Walking in Guangming,” a springtime event for expat residents and their families, along with local officials and language volunteers, at Hongqiao Park.

Participants toured the park, featuring a 4-kilometer red pedestrian bridge, via sightseeing vehicles, climbed the park’s highest tower for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding hills, and visited the Hongqiao Nature Education Center. There, immersive exhibits and multimedia displays highlighted the district’s biodiversity, including protected species such as leopard cats and the fairy pitta, showcased in the documentary "Everything Shines in Guangming."

The visit concluded with a discussion on local culture, food, and customs, where participants praised Guangming’s ecological beauty and modern urban development, noting the city’s vibrancy and inclusivity.
