Recently, a delegation from the Universitas Indonesia (UI) visited Guangming Science City to explore opportunities in scientific innovation, talent development, and international collaboration.
Led by the UI President Heri Hermansyah, the group toured the Guangming Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, observing the district’s integration of industry, education, and green development.
Hermansyah praised Guangming as “a highly developed area with excellent urban planning,” while Hamdi Muluk, Vice President for Research and Innovation, highlighted potential joint projects in synthetic biology, nanomaterials, and health sciences.
During the visit, Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology and the UI signed a memorandum of understanding, marking a step forward in academic cooperation among APEC member universities.
Guangming Science City’s concentration of top research institutions and innovative programs, such as research in brain mapping and simulation, as well as synthetic biology, continues to expand opportunities for international partnerships.
