Recently, 15 families took part in a science-themed agricultural education program at Guangming Farm, where children gained a hands-on understanding of how technology is transforming modern dairy farming.
Held during the National Science and Technology Week, the event combined agricultural science, labor education and interactive learning through activities focused on automated livestock management, scientific testing and creative workshops.

Children dressed as junior dairy farmers and toured a smart ranch, where they observed an automated milking system in operation and learned how technology improves efficiency and animal care in modern agriculture. Participants also conducted simple experiments using sugar-content meters to compare milk, water and soft drinks, gaining insight into nutrition and scientific measurement.
The program included a milk soap-making workshop and close interactions with calves, allowing children to learn about dairy cattle, animal care and modern barn management while fostering environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility.
At the end of the event, each child received a “Young Dairy Farmer” certificate in recognition of their participation.
