A five-day “Little Scientists” science exploration camp was held in Guangming District from July 11-15, offering 30 local young students a free educational experience combining science, culture and the arts.

The program aimed to bring university and industry resources into communities and expand access to science education. 

Students began their journey at the Shenzhen campus of Sun Yat-sen University’s School of Integrated Circuits, exploring the university’s research environment. They later visited the centuries-old Huang Clan Ancestral Hall in Jingkou Village, where they learned about the traditional Qilin dance and combined digital tools with hands-on circuit experiments to create technology-inspired artworks.

The program also featured a field-based cultural education tour, first-aid training and an orienteering activity in the village, allowing students to explore local history and community stories.

At Shenzhen Huaxinxing Semiconductor Co., Ltd, students visited production facilities and learned about chip design and manufacturing from industry experts. They also visited the Shenzhen International Art Museum, where they explored exhibitions and developed their artistic appreciation.
