The Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum has been selected as one of the “Guangdong International Communication Cases of 2026” for its efforts to showcase the innovation strength of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
As the world’s first science and technology museum themed around digital civilization, the museum uses immersive exhibitions, international outreach and global exchanges to share stories of technological innovation with audiences worldwide. Within one year of opening, it has reached more than 1.5 billion online views globally and become an important platform for promoting Shenzhen’s innovation image and facilitating international science and cultural exchanges.

The museum features a 35,000-square-meter permanent exhibition area, offers tours in eight languages and presents 24 themed zones, including artificial intelligence and smart industries. Working with local technology companies such as Huawei and BYD, it has introduced 950 interactive exhibits, with 80% of them supporting immersive experiences.
Visitors from countries including Russia, Greece, Spain, Brazil, the U.K., the U.S. and Thailand have praised the museum’s innovative displays, which showcase how technology is integrated into everyday life.
The museum has also hosted more than 40 overseas delegations, including representatives from international science institutions and universities, making it a key destination for global visitors seeking to experience the Greater Bay Area’s technological development.
Through partnerships with domestic and overseas media outlets such as the overseas edition of BAZAAR and Nouvelles D'Europe, and creative content on international social platforms, the museum continues to expand its global reach and present China’s digital innovation stories to a broader international audience.
