Nearly 200,000 square meters of rice fields at Guangming Fun Farm are approaching harvest, with the paddies gradually turning from green to golden as rice grains mature.

The rice was planted in July and is expected to be ready for harvest in mid-October. The fields are forecast to yield about 55,000 kilograms of rice, including nearly 30,000 kilograms of milled rice.
The farm grows a premium indica rice variety that has won a national award for taste. The rice is irrigated with surface water from nearby reservoirs.
During the National Day holiday, the farm will offer rice-field tours, parent-child activities and agricultural learning programs. Visitors can take a small train through the paddies, while children can join activities such as lotus-root digging, fish catching and corn-themed lessons.
Once the rice is fully mature, the farm plans to offer hands-on harvesting activities, allowing visitors to cut and thresh rice and learn about traditional farming.
Other holiday activities will include camping, forest adventure courses, boat rides and farm-to-table experiences such as making pizza and bread.
