The Guangming Science City Sports Center has completed its main structural work and entered the interior finishing and decoration phase, marking a key step toward its completion as a major sports and entertainment venue.

Located north of Guangming Science Park and near Science Park Station on Metro Line 6, the 115,200-square-meter complex will include a sports arena and a multipurpose hall. It is within walking distance of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum and Shenzhen International Art Museum.

The arena is planned to seat more than 10,000 people, making it one of Shenzhen’s major venues for sporting events and concerts.

The design features flowing curves intended to blend the complex into the surrounding hills and parkland. Its layout will connect the sports facilities with Science Park, incorporating spaces for walking, jogging, leisure and sightseeing.

Once operational, the center will complement nearby science and art venues, creating a cultural and recreational destination that combines sports, performances, science education and outdoor activities.
