Equestrian Cross-Country Course

Located in the southern section of Science Park in Xinhu Subdistrict, the cross-country course stretches about 4.6 kilometers, winding naturally along the park's terrain. The venue includes a rescue passage, water obstacles, temporary stables, cooling areas, and warm-up zones. Its design preserves the park's natural landscape while ensuring competition safety, creating a distinctive blend of sport and scenery.

In November, the 15th National Games will stage its equestrian cross-country event here on this international-standard course. Following the contours of rivers and forest, the course integrates water jumps and ecological features while specialized cooling and warm-up areas safeguard both horses and riders.

More than a competition ground, the course embodies three identities: an international sporting venue, a platform for public nature education, and a protected zone for urban biodiversity. As riders clear riverbank-inspired obstacles, the thrill of sport resonates with the rhythms of the natural environment.

The project also enhances Guangming's urban fabric. The course seamlessly links with the northern section of Science Park—known as the city's “urban balcony”—where residents hike and jog. Through ecological buffer zones, everyday leisure trails connect smoothly with the professional track, achieving a fluid balance between recreation and elite sport.
