The BMX Racing Venue in Tangwei Community, Guangming District, covers about 17,000 square meters and is built to the highest national standards in full compliance with UCI specifications. The track starts at a 10-meter-wide gate that narrows progressively, incorporating double jumps, banked turns, and other technical obstacles designed to push riders' power and control to the limit. Its imported red clay surface, with fine granularity and stability, ensures both cushioning and traction for high-level competition.
In September, the Guangdong BMX Racing Invitational and the National Games BMX Racing test event concluded successfully at this venue. Athletes praised both the course quality and event organization, noting the strong ecological environment nearby—many stayed in hotels close to Hongqiao Park, where they could unwind in green surroundings despite the intense training and competition schedule.
Leveraging its natural assets and sports infrastructure, Guangming is actively positioning itself as a hub for outdoor sports. With the 15th National Games as a catalyst, the district is upgrading facilities and linking them with ecological spaces such as Hongqiao Park and the Dadingling Greenway. The goal is to create diverse venues that integrate competition, recreation, and tourism, advancing Guangming's vision of becoming the “Outdoor Sports District of the Greater Bay Area.”
