The Guangming Library is the central facility of the district’s public library system. Located within the Guangming Culture and Art Center, it provides reading, research, cultural education and information services for residents.
The library has dedicated spaces for children and young people, study areas, a 24-hour self-service library, a visually impaired reading area and collections of local literature. It also provides spaces for lectures, reading clubs, cultural talks and other public programs.
Guangming has been expanding its library services beyond the main building. By the end of 2025, the district had established a network consisting of one main library, a children’s library, six sub-libraries, 33 community service points, 13 partner libraries and 71 24-hour reading kiosks.
The network is designed to make reading facilities more accessible within residential communities and other everyday public spaces, allowing residents to access books and cultural services without having to travel to the district center.
