Established in 1941 by Chen Tielin in Xiacun Village, Gongming Roasted Pig stands apart from traditional roast suckling pig. Using medium-sized whole pigs weighing 25 to 40 kg and raised for about 100 days for an ideal fat-to-lean balance, the pork is famed for its crispy skin, tender bones, and aromatic, flavorful meat. This dish is a must-have for Gongming's festive occasions and is recognized as a district-level intangible cultural heritage.
