Guangming District organized an event Aug. 18 for smart sensing industry companies to establish connections and find commercial opportunities, Bao'an Daily reported.

Organizers invited representatives from the Electronic Information Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Shenzhen branch of the Bank of Communications to share insights on the industry development and financing support for the smart sensor industry.

Organizers also unveiled a digital application platform for smart sensors and brought together over 30 smart sensor manufacturing companies and downstream application enterprises from Shenzhen to discuss industry development.

The event aimed to facilitate technological and industrial cooperation for sensor enterprises in Guangming District and assist them in finding suitable business opportunities.

It is part of the "Linking Guangming" project, an activity brand created by the Industrial and Information Technology Bureau of Guangming District to connect various resources for industrial development. It aims to help businesses find markets and funding, thereby promoting collaborative development along the industrial chain.

Since the beginning of this year, the bureau has organized 10 specialized matchmaking events, bringing together over 100 high-quality industrial chain enterprises and research institutes. These events have facilitated procurement cooperation between leading companies and small and medium-sized enterprises in the jurisdiction, with the intended transaction amount exceeding 2 billion yuan (US$277.06 million).

During this event, the Industrial and Information Technology Bureau provided an in-depth interpretation of the Several Measures to Support the High-quality Development of the Smart Sensor Industrial Cluster in Guangming District.

The supportive policy framework was analyzed in detail, with participating enterprise representatives expressing a deeper understanding of the policies, which further strengthened their confidence in rooting their development in the district.

Experts from the Electronic Information Institute introduced the development potentials and current status of smart sensors in China, analyzed specific bottlenecks in the domestic industry chain, proposed development strategies for the industry and showcased the technical capabilities of the institute in the field of smart sensors. These insights provided valuable directions for the development of participating enterprises.

A spokesperson from the Shenzhen Smart Sensor Industry Association said that Guangming District has created a friendly business environment for sensor enterprises, attracting numerous high-quality enterprises and talents to settle in the district. The association will fully leverage its role in connecting enterprises and facilitating communication between enterprises and the government, further promoting the growth and expansion of the smart sensor industry chain in the district.

During the event, the Diribo Smart Sensor Industry Digital Platform was introduced to all smart sensor enterprises. This platform is the world's largest digital platform for the smart sensor industry and has now settled in Guangming District. It can provide a digital platform for global sensor enterprises for research and innovation and offer strong support for resource mobility, technology and information sharing.

After the event, representatives from various enterprises expressed a deeper understanding of the development of the industry and a more steadfast confidence in establishing their roots and developing in Guangming District.
