The Guangming District Government has formulated several measures to promote the high-quality development of commerce to implement the Shenzhen Municipal Government's action plan on promoting consumption, Bao'an Daily reported.
The measures provide all-round policy support in encouraging commercial and trade enterprises to become bigger and stronger.
The district established a database for cultivating public companies, and will grant a one-time reward of 50,000 yuan (US$6,831.44) to enterprises included in the database.
For enterprises planning to be listed on major domestic and foreign stock exchanges, a reward of 1 million yuan will be given after completing its shareholding system reform, 2 million yuan after application materials are accepted by the exchanges, and 3 million yuan after a successful listing.
For newly settled listed companies engaged in wholesale, retail, housing, and catering in Guangming, a reward of up to 6 million yuan will be given.
The district encourages the development of brand hotels and will grant rewards ranging from 10 to 30 million yuan to the first three five-star hotels that sign contracts with international hotel chain management companies for at least five years.
"International brand hotel companies" refer to those that have been included in the World Top 300 Hotel (Group) Rankings released by the American "HOTELS" in the past three years.
The measures support accommodation enterprises in the jurisdiction to undertake activities such as annual meetings, seminars, forums, training, and Guangming characteristic tourism organized by enterprises, chambers of commerce, associations, societies, travel agencies, etc.
The accommodation expenses incurred by relevant activities involving more than 50 people and registered by related government departments will subsidize 30% of the fare, with a maximum of 5 million yuan per enterprise per year.
For the newly built or renovated commercial blocks or night economic demonstration blocks identified by the government, a maximum of 10 million yuan will be awarded, based on 50% of the actual total investment.
Business enterprises in the district are encouraged to participate in consumption promotion activities initiated by the municipal and district commerce authorities.
Organizers with an event promotion fee of more than 100,000 yuan will be rewarded, based on 50% of the actual expenses incurred for venue rental, equipment, construction, promotion, and other activities, with a maximum of 1 million yuan.
The government will also grant subsidies to support well-known brand catering enterprises to open their first stores in Guangming District.
