Guangming enjoys an advanced transportation system with access to Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Futian within half an hour. Local railways, highways, and metro lines have linked the district with the major cities in the Pearl River Delta Metropolitan Region, which benefits the region with abundant urban services, industrial resources, and skilled labor force.

Expressways/Highways: 3 vertical lines and 3 horizontal lines

Departing from Guangming District, it takes around 25 minutes to get to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, Shenzhen Shekou Cruise Homeport, or Shenzhen Dachanwan Port. The road tolls to Guangming on Longda and Nanguang expressways have been removed and both expressways will undergo urbanization construction. 

Local Highways: 8 vertical lines and 8 horizontal lines

The network of arterial roads featuring "8 vertical lines and 8 horizontal lines" including 27 roads covers a total mileage of 161 kilometers. Currently the frame of the major arterial roads has been accomplished.

Metro Lines that go through Guangming District

The construction of Metro Line 6 is finished and the Metro line is put into service. In the meantime, Metro Line 13 is under construction and will go through the south to the north of Shenzhen.

Guangmingcheng Railway Station has been connected with several major intercity express railways. Departing from Guangmingcheng Station, it takes only 19 minutes to reach Futian, the CBD of Shenzhen, 25 minutes to Guangzhou South Railway Station and 32 minutes to Hong Kong Kowloon West.
