Shenzhen Metro Group Co., Ltd., founded on July 31, 1998, is a large-scale sole proprietorship SOE under the direct control of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the People's Government of Shenzhen, and the leader in the construction and operation of rail transit of the city, with main businesses covering metro engineering construction, metro operation, investment and financing, resources operation and property management, engineering investigation and design, etc., formed a quaternity industrial chain of metro "investment and financing, construction, operation, resources operation and property development."


MTR Corporation (Shenzhen) Limited, founded in March 2004, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MTR Corporation Limited and responsible for the investment and construction of the Phase II project of Line 4 (Longhua Line). It has been granted franchise rights to operating all of Line 4 for 30 years since its inauguration.

Line 1 (Luobao Line): Luohu—Airport East

Line 11: Gangxia North—Bitou

Metro Line 11 stops at the following stations: Gangxia North, Futian, Chegongmiao, Hongshuwan South, Houhai, Nanshan, Qianhaiwan, Bao’an, Bihaiwan, Airport, Airport North, Fuyong, Qiaotou, Tangwei, Ma’an Hill, Shajing, Houting, Songgang, Bitou.


Line 12

The Phase 1 of Shenzhen Metro Line 12 commenced operation on November 28, 2022.

It starts at Zuopaotai East Station and passes through Bao'an District and Nanshan District, connecting various areas such as Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone, Nanshan central business district, Bao'an central business district, Xixiang area, airport east district, Fuyong area and exhibition center area before terminating at Haishang Tianyuan East Station. The Phase 2 of the project will be extended to Songgang Station. Phase 1 has a total length of 40.56 kilometers and consists of 33 stations.


Line 14: Gangxia North—Shatian

Metro Line 14 stops at the following stations: Gangxia North, Huangmugang, Luohu North, Buji, Shiyaling, Liyue North, Silian, Ao'bei, Dayun, Zhangbei, Nanyue, Baolong, Jinlong, Pingshanwei, Pingshan Square, Pingshan Center, Kengzi, Shatian


Line 16

The Phase 1 of Shenzhen Metro Line 16 commenced operation on December 28, 2022. It starts at Dayun Station and passes through Longgang District and Pingshan District, predominantly connecting areas such as Ailian, Huilongpu, Longping, Pingshan central business district, Jiangling Shapou, Tiantou, Tianxin, and others, ending at Tianxin Station. The line generally runs in an east-west direction. It has a total length of 29.2 kilometers and consists of 24 stations.


Line 20: Airport North—Convention & Exhibition City

Metro Line 20 stops at the following stations: Airport North, Shenzhen World South, Shenzhen World, Shenzhen World North, Convention & Exhibition City.


Shenzhen Tong

It is highly recommended to obtain a Shenzhen Tong card for public transport use in Shenzhen.

The Shenzhen Tong card is a contactless stored value card that provides customers a simple, safe and secure way to pay. It can be used to pay fares on the metro and most buses in Shenzhen. The Shenzhen Tong card can be purchased and recharged at metro stations, some grocery stores, as well as Shenzhen Tong outlets.

To obtain a Shenzhen Tong card is free but passengers need to pay a 20-yuan deposit, which can be refunded when the card is returned. To return Shenzhen Tong cards, please visit the Shenzhen Tong customer service sites across Shenzhen at Laojie Station, Convention and Exhibition Center Station or Bao'an Center Station.

Bus riders using Shenzhen Tong cards can enjoy discounts of up to 35 percent. Metro passengers using Shenzhen Tong cards enjoy a 5 percent discount.
