More than 44,000 citizens attended activities of a police open day in Guangming District on Nov. 26, Shenzhen Guangming WeChat account reported.

It was part of the 16th Shenzhen Police Open Day, which was simultaneously held at 13 subvenues and 11 locations across the city, showcasing the police's work in exit-entry administration, public safety, traffic management, special operations, cyber safety, and fighting terrorism and drugs. It attracted a total of more than 500,000 visits citywide.

Exhilarating boxing performances, rappelling skill demonstrations, police dog explosive detection shows, paintball shooting, simulated driving, and displays of police gear captivated visitors.

Through the event, visitors learned more about policing, improved their awareness of telecommunication scams and illegal drugs, and experienced the high technologies that are applied in police gear.
