More than 30 representatives from the underwear industry worldwide convened at the China (Shenzhen) International Branded Underwear Fair (SIUF) and the first U30 Global Underwear Industry Summit in the art gallery of the Guangming Culture and Art Center on April 18.

Zheng Xuan, senior consultant of the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, pointed out that the Shenzhen government attaches great importance to the development of the fashion industry. The city has introduced the "20+8" industry cluster policy, in which the modern fashion industry cluster is identified as one of the strategic emerging industries for future development in Shenzhen.

The underwear industry is an important part of the modern fashion industry. Guangming District is strong in two traditional industries in the modern fashion industry, specifically underwear and clocks and watches. The district enjoys unique industrial resource advantages. Zheng hopes that Guangming District will continue to introduce policies and measures to promote industry development, provide development space, and create a good business ecosystem.

Qiu Haohang, head of Guangming District, invited enterprises to explore Guangming, a land of entrepreneurial development, and collaborate to establish a new Guangming that encompasses the fusion of "technology + fashion."

He emphasized that Guangming District is expediting the introduction of multiple measures to bolster the high-quality advancement of its modern fashion industry cluster. Targeted support is being provided to companies in crucial areas such as creative design, production and manufacturing, business management, and market services. Moreover, the district plans to establish numerous industrial communities spanning several square kilometers, ensuring ample land allocation for the development of diverse industries, including the underwear industry.
