Shenzhen initiated its third batch of new construction projects for 2023. The start of a total of 294 projects were launched, with a total investment of about 314.43 billion yuan (US$43.4 billion).

According to the Guangming District Development and Reform Bureau, 40 projects are located in Guangming, with a total investment of about 43.67 billion yuan.

Among the newly started projects in Guangming, there are seven projects in the technological innovation field, three in the industrial field, eight related to people’s livelihood, 19 in city construction and three in real estate development.

Several key projects have attracted much attention. The second phase of the development project of the intelligent sensor and precise instrument advanced manufacturing park will be built, including a plant and supporting facilities. The project involves an investment of 10.42 billion yuan and construction is expected to be completed by December 2027.

The Science City Sports Center involves an investment totaling 1.52 billion yuan. The center, covering an area of 52,000 square meters, will consist of a sports stadium, a comprehensive hall, a sports training base, outdoor sports space, and apartments. The project is expected to be finished in August 2027.
