Two new hotels recently opened in the Guangming Science City area, offering a new way for travelers to find balance between business travel and healthy living, and to embrace a new way of living during their stay, Bao'an Daily reported.

The two hotels, EVEN Hotels Shenzhen Guangming Cloud Park and Holiday Inn Express Shenzhen Guangming Cloud Valley, are key hotel projects developed by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Shenzhen.

Located in Guangming Tian'an Cloud Valley International Smart Industry and Learning City community, the hotels are about 35 minutes' drive from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and Shenzhen North Railway Station. Adjacent to Guangming District International Convention and Exhibition Center, Guangming District Flower Sea, "Red Bridge" and Guangming National Forest Park, the hotels have a fresh and oxygen-rich natural environment, bringing a comfortable experience for health-conscious business and holiday travelers.

With more than 100 years' history, IHG manages franchises, leases or owns over 5,600 hotels and 840,000 guest rooms in more than 100 countries, with approximately 1,800 additional hotels in its development pipeline.

In 2012, IHG introduced the industry's first high-end lifestyle hotel brand focused on health, called EVEN Hotels, in the U.S. It was specifically designed for consumers who value a healthy lifestyle.

Holiday Inn Express is a quality hotel brand under IHG, aiming to provide a brand-new mid-range business hotel that makes travel easier.

Yang Yi, president of Shenzhen Tian'an Junye Investment Development Group, delivered the opening speech at a ceremony July 20. He believes that the hotels will help travelers find balance between business travel and healthy living.

As a comprehensive supporting area for the Science City, Guangming Tian'an Cloud Valley will provide a high-quality residential, educational, medical, commercial and other life service facilities, Yang said.

Liu Xiangyu, chief operating officer of IHG in West China and South China, said, "We are excited about our first collaboration with Tian'an here and hope to provide rejuvenating and high-quality choices for tech talents and leisure travelers, injecting strong momentum into the development of the area."

She said the hotels will bring more efficient, convenient and high-quality travel options for travelers to the Science City area.
