The Entrepreneurship Institute of Sun Yat-sen University was officially relocated to Guangming District on Sept. 2, Bao'an Daily reported.
This signifies that the Entrepreneurship Institute, established in 2009, officially moved to the Shenzhen campus and will further strengthen its support for innovative and entrepreneurial management talents in Shenzhen.
Gao Song, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of Sun Yat-sen University, and Qiu Haohang, vice Party chief of Guangming District and Guangming District mayor, attended the event.
Gao stated that the relocation of the Entrepreneurship Institute to the Shenzhen campus will allow for a closer integration into the city's vibrant atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship, its highly concentrated high-tech industries and high-level financial market. The move will accelerate the cultivation of highly skilled talents with innovative spirit and entrepreneurial abilities, making even greater contributions to the high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).
At the same time, the establishment of the Entrepreneurship Institute in Shenzhen signifies that the Shenzhen campus, as an important innovation hub of Sun Yat-sen University, will comprehensively align with the development needs of Shenzhen's high-tech industries. Emphasis will be placed on fostering cutting-edge innovative talents capable of leading the future, and actively integrating into the construction of Guangming Science City and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong "half-hour scientific research circle."
Qiu said that the establishment of the Entrepreneurship Institute at the Shenzhen campus will undoubtedly provide strong support for talent cultivation in innovation and entrepreneurship in Guangming District and the construction of a high-level talent hub in the GBA. Guangming District will continue to fully support the construction and development of the Sun Yat-sen University Shenzhen campus.
