With the Year of the Dragon just around the corner, expats in Guangming were invited to join a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration in Guangming District on Sunday.
Prior to the event, participants were treated to an immersive experience at the Guangming District Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, featuring laser shows, multimedia presentations, and interactive events showcasing the district’s landscape.

The celebration kicked off with a lively bilingual introduction to the Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival, providing insights into the festival's origins and the varying customs in different regions of China.
One of the event’s highlights was a performance by expats from Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, showcasing their talent to the delight of local and foreign attendees.
In addition, international guests took part in various traditional activities such as dumpling making, writing couplets, paper-cutting, and the opportunity to try on hanfu, a traditional Chinese costume.

Guangming has hosted 33 Chinese Corner events, providing a platform for communication and exchange among expats, further contributing to the development of the Guangming International Block.
