Clock and watch manufacturing is one of the advantageous traditional industries actively supported by Shenzhen, and it is also an important force in the city's modern fashion industry. After decades of development, Shenzhen's clock and watch industry has formed a relatively complete industrial system, representing the highest level of watch manufacturing in China.

中国钟表十强企业占7家；钟表品牌零售额占全国70%以上；手表产量占中国产量53%，占全球产量42%。

Of the Top Ten Clock and Watch Enterprises in China, 7 are based in Shenzhen. Shenzhen's clock and watch brands account for over 70% of the national retail sales, and its watch production represents 53% of China's total and 42% of global production.

数据显示，深圳现有钟表企业1500多家，年产值680亿元，其中传统手表的产值380亿元，智能穿戴产品产值220亿元。

Data shows that there are more than 1,500 clock and watch enterprises in Shenzhen, with an annual output value of 68 billion yuan. Among them, the output value of traditional mechanical watches is 38 billion yuan, while that of smart wearable products is 22 billion yuan.

经过近40年的行业沉淀，深圳钟表业实现从来料加工到自主品牌创新的跨越转变。目前，深圳已有100多家大中型钟表企业拥有自主品牌，品牌数量达200多个。

After nearly 40 years of industry accumulation, Shenzhen's clock and watch industry has undergone a leap from simple processing to independent brand innovation. Currently, over 100 large and medium-sized clock and watch enterprises in Shenzhen have their own independent brands, totaling more than 200 brands.

深圳钟表企业还参与中国手表标准制定。据介绍，深圳钟表企业参与制定编制的各等级标准占行业标准的50%左右，申请外观专利和发明专利超过1000件。

Shenzhen's clock and watch enterprises are also involved in the development of Chinese watch standards. Shenzhen's timepiece enterprises participate in the formulation of various grade standards, accounting for about 50% of the industry's standards. They have also applied for over 1,000 appearance patents and invention patents.

2022年6月，现代时尚产业正式列入深圳"20+8"的重点产业集群之一。同月发布的《深圳市培育发展现代时尚产业集群行动计划（2022-2025）》提出，支持钟表企业与高校、科研机构合作，加强技术创新。

In June 2022, the modern fashion industry was officially included as one of the key industry clusters in Shenzhen's "20+8" industrial development plan. An Action Plan released in the same month proposes to support clock and watch enterprises in collaboration with universities and research institutions to strengthen technological innovation.
