Honghua Hill Park is located in the center of Gongming Subdistrict, at the northern end of Songbai Highway. Adjacent to the Gongming Subdistrict Office Building and Gongming Middle School, it has a beautiful scenery and fresh air which make it an ideal destination for fun. The park is also delicately timbered and has two connected hilltops as its signature view.

Hikers can have a rest at the pavilions on the hilltops while enjoying a scenic panoramic view of Gongming Subdistrict, where the residential buildings and motorways are dotted with rich greeneries.

There are many litchi trees on the hill, where a beautiful scenery unfolds June and July every year when the litchis ripen with red fruits.

In 2007, the Gongming Subdistrict Office invested 300,000 yuan (US$42,683) in building an electronic monitoring system for the park. A total of 25 electronic monitoring probes have been set up at the park's major entrances and exits, providing a safety protection net for residents while they have fun inside.

Since 2000, the subdistrict office has invested funds in the park's construction every year. In 2008, it invested 3.5 million yuan in the park's fifth phase of construction, building a 1.5-kilometer road and four pavilions along the edge of the hill. At the same time, the park has added sports and fitness facilities. In 2009, the park's sixth phase of construction, a pagoda and 1,005 steps were built. Snack shops have also been built at the entrances and hilltops for the convenience of local hikers and other visitors.
